Why Regular Car Detailing Matters

Why Regular Car Detailing Matters

Most owners think of detailing as something you do before selling a car. It is closer to servicing: something that protects value continuously rather than rescuing it at the end.

Paint is a consumable. UV, bird droppings, tree sap, industrial fallout and road salt all attack the clear coat, and once it fails there is no polishing it back — it has to be resprayed. Regular decontamination and protection is the difference between a clear coat that lasts the life of the car and one that clouds in five years.

Inside, the damage is slower but just as real: sunlight fades and cracks dashboards, grit ground into carpets wears the fibres, and spills that sit become permanent.

The practical rhythm for most cars is a proper detail once or twice a year, with correct washing in between. That is enough to keep a car looking close to new.
