Paint Protection Film (PPF) — Ultimate Paint Protection

Paint Protection Film (PPF) — Ultimate Paint Protection

A ceramic coating changes how the surface behaves. PPF puts a physical barrier in the way. They solve different problems, and on a car that is driven hard they work well together — film on the impact zones, coating over the top.

Film earns its cost on highway miles. Stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper are the most common paint damage on any car in regular use, and they are the one thing no coating prevents.

Most owners fit a front kit: bonnet, front bumper, leading edges of the wings, mirrors and headlights. Full-body makes sense on a car worth protecting completely.

Quality varies enormously. Good film is self-healing, does not yellow, and comes off cleanly years later. Cheap film yellows, cracks and takes paint with it — which costs far more than the film saved.
